Napa Winery Offers Harvest Tours

Tomorrow is the first of three consecutive Fridays that Napa Valley’s ZD Wines will be hosting exclusive, behind-the-scenes tours—right in the middle of harvest season.

Two tours will be held each of those three days, one at 11 a.m. and one at 2 p.m. Guests will be able to taste the fermenting wines of the 2012 harvest, compare them to more mature wines aging in barrels, then sample ZD’s current releases in order to better understand how wine evolves over time.

The current releases will be paired with the “3 Cs” of the good life—cheeses, charcuterie and chocolate.

Tomorrow, the host will be ZD’s assistant winemaker, Brandon deLeuze. On October 19, cellar master Chad McComber will lead the groups. And on October 26, winemaker Chris Pisani will serve as the host.

The cost is $75 per person, and the tours are available by appointment only. For further information, call 800-487-7757.
