The Rioja region is a great place to enjoy one of Spain’s best-loved exports: wine.
Located in El Ciega is the $70 million Marques de Riscal’s Ciudad del Vino (City of Wine), a stunning complex designed by architect Frank Gehry. Multi-colored titanium “ribbons” characterize its unforgettable architecture.
Visitors are able to stay overnight in the 43-room Hotel Marques de Riscal, where guests have access to the Marques de Riscal vineyards, the Wine Museum and Shop, and the process and elaboration center.
La Rioja also is home to the Museum of the Culture of Wine Dinastia Vivanco Foundation.
