The Wine Will Flow at Sonoma Valley Film Festival

The 2008 Sonoma Valley Film Festival showcases the excitement of the movies and the pleasures of the wine country during its five-day schedule of screenings and events tomorrow through April 13.

Kenwood Vineyards wines will be poured at the Festival’s Welcome Center and Hollywood & Vine Theaters – its marquee venues – all five days, and will star at the gala Closing Night Awards Ceremony & Wrap Party on the 13th.

The 2008 Sonoma Valley Film Festival will screen more than 75 new films during its run. This year’s Festival films highlight impressive work by some of today’s best directors and actors, including Alan Alda, David Lynch, Helen Hunt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Virginia Madsen, Bette Midler, Orlando Bloom, Colin Firth, Matthew Modine, Mary Stuart Masterson, Joe Mantegna, Mary Steenburgen, Kristen Bell, Malcolm MacDowell and Liev Schreiber.

The Festival also features an array of associated events, such as the star-studded Opening Night Gala, the Festival Tribute to Michael Keaton (with Keaton appearing in person), the Industry Mixer, and Actor, Screenwriting, Critic and Pitch Panels for those interested in getting “up-close and personal” with the movie industry.

Over the past ten years, the Sonoma Valley Film Festival has built its reputation by presenting the best independent filmmaking and the brightest film talent to the public in unique wine country style.
