A Pinot Noir Lover's Utopia

    Did you miss the Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival this year, or just want another chance to taste your favorite Pinots from this special California wine region?

     If so, you’re in luck: The 2008 Winesong Barrel Tasting on Friday, Sept. 5 will feature Anderson Valley Pinot Noir — past, present and future.

     Co-hosted by the Anderson Valley Winegrowers Association, the event will include virtually all Anderson Valley Pinot producers, who will be pouring library wines, current releases and barrel samples.

     Guests can sip their way through history, while savoring local foods and a panoramic view of the Mendocino coastline.

     The tasting will be held at the beautiful Heritage House in Little River, Calif., from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $40, and benefit the Mendocino Coast Hospital Foundation.
