Of Childhood Dreams and Adult Celebrations

When I was a kid, I often dreamed of living in a castle.

How cool would that be? I’d have a room for each of my areas of interest…

A baseball room, where I could display my Little League trophies and hang my picture of Mickey Mantle.

A Lego room, where I could build whatever I wanted and not have to pick up the yet-to-be-used “bricks” each night.

A music room, where I could turn up my stereo as loud as I wanted, store all my records and cassette tapes, and tape posters of rock groups on the walls.

     You get the idea…

Well, I never did get my castle, but winemakers Steve Ledson and Dario Sattui got theirs. And you can visit them in California’s North Coast wine country.

This week here on VinesseTODAY.com, we’ll take you to those castles, and share some information on how one lucky family could win a Ledson-designed home (not a castle, but still pretty opulent) of their own.

Also this week, we’ll take a look at some of the events planned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of New York’s Cayuga Wine Trail… fill you in on one esteemed winery’s efforts to fight MS… and much more.

So, check back with us each day this week for your daily dose of wine news and information.

All from the comfort of your own “castle.”
