Crab, Fennel… and Lots of Wine

Tickets are now on sale for the 6th annual Russian River Valley Winegrowers Crab & Fennel Fest.

     The date: Saturday, March 7.

The site: Sonoma County Fairgrounds, in the Hall of Flowers.

Reception and Silent Auction: 5:30 p.m.

     Dinner: 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Guests will roll up their sleeves, crack fresh Dungeness crab, quaff Russian River Valley wine and experience culinary fennel creations made by local chefs in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Held in conjunction with the 31st annual Russian River Wine Road Barrel Tasting weekend, the event will have a Vineyard Designated Tasting Bar where guests can meet the growers and winemakers as they taste special Russian River Valley vineyard designated wines (the $25 fee includes three 2-ounce tastes and a Riedel glass).

And, back again this year by popular demand, are the spirited crab races.

Tickets are $55 per person and include two glasses of Russian River Valley wine. Reserved tables for eight people also are available for $550.

For more information or to purchase tickets, go to rrvw.org or call 707-521-2535.
