Winery Generates $50,000 for Charitable Cause

    Dog House Winery, a maker of premium varietal California wines, has presented Guide Dogs for the Blind with a donation of $50,000. Guide Dogs for the Blind provides enhanced mobility and quality of life to people who are blind, through lifetime partnerships with Guide Dogs.

     “We are honored to support a worthwhile organization such as Guide Dogs for the Blind,” said Mark Feinberg, Vice President of Marketing for Dog House Winery. “Our customers can feel good knowing their purchase of Dog House directly supports efforts to improve the lives of thousands of people afflicted by blindness.”

     Dog House Winery has pledged its ongoing support to the organization, donating $214,300 from 2005 through 2008. Additionally, Dog House is the official sponsor of Guide Dogs for the Blind’s annual Canine Calendar and the official sponsor of the annual Guide Dogs for the Blind Holiday Luncheon.

     “We are grateful for the generous support and donations Dog House Winery has pledged to our non-profit organization over the years,” says Nancy Gardner, President and CEO for Guide Dogs for the Blind. “It is the continued generosity of our supporters that allows us to help improve the quality of life for so many people.”
