Let the Grilling Begin!

    A good way to get back in the swing of grilling… assuming you ever got out of the swing… is with this simple yet tasty sandwich recipe.

     The recipe makes 6 sandwiches, and the sandwiches go great with Zinfandel or a chilled rose wine.



* 1 1/2 lbs. sausage

* 3 bell peppers

* 1 medium yellow onion

* Olive oil

* 6 sandwich buns

* Dijon mustard


     1. Smoke sausages (hot Italian are good for this recipe) at 200 degrees in smoker until done, about 2-3 hours.

     2. When sausages are almost done, saute peppers and onion in olive oil until just tender.

     3. Remove sausages from smoker and cut lengthwise. Assemble sandwiches by adding peppers, onion and mustard.
