Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places on the face of the earth.
Regardless of the season, the region offers breathtaking scenery. But if we had to pick a favorite time to visit, it would be when the summer crowds have subsided, the kids are back in school, and the summer begins its gradual transition into fall.
In a word: September.
Which just happens to be the month in which the Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival is held. This year’s dates: September 11-13.
What makes this festival different from many others is its multiple venues. Various tastings, seminars, demonstrations, etc. are held in several North Tahoe locations, including the Village at Northstar.
