Chile Joins the Sustainability March

Add Chile to the ever growing list of winegrowing countries that is taking its responsibility to the land seriously.

According to Decanter, the University of Talca recently completed development of a sustainability protocol, providing winery owners with a road map for achieving sustainability in their farming and winemaking practices.

Without such a protocol, achieving sustainability can be a difficult pursuit, as goals, definitions, specifications, etc. can vary widely from country to country. Now, the Chilean wine industry can work toward specific goals that ultimately will provide a meaningful certification.
