Temecula Wine Country Will Light Up the Holidays

With more than 30 wineries in the area, California’s Temecula Valley is always a nice destination for a wine lover.

But this coming holiday season, there are even more reasons to visit Temecula, which is an easy drive from San Diego or Orange County.

At participating wineries, thousands of lights will illuminate the buildings and even some of the vineyards. So even though the tasting rooms may be closed, it’ll be worthwhile to take one more drive along the “wine trail” after the sun goes down.

In addition, some of the wineries will offer hay rides and holiday music. You’ll even be able to find hot cocoa and cider at some locations.

Another “after hours” destination that the whole family will enjoy is Old Town Temecula. There, the holiday light displays are spectacular, and activities range from ice skating to lap sitting (on Santa, of course). Carolers also will be out and about, and numerous boutiques offer eclectic holiday shopping.

The local convention and visitors’ bureau can assist with trip planning and accommodations. For further information on a Temecula wine country excursion, visit temeculacvb.com or call 888-363-2852.
