With more than 30 wineries in the area, California’s Temecula Valley is always a nice destination for a wine lover.
But this coming holiday season, there are even more reasons to visit Temecula, which is an easy drive from San Diego or Orange County.
At participating wineries, thousands of lights will illuminate the buildings and even some of the vineyards. So even though the tasting rooms may be closed, it’ll be worthwhile to take one more drive along the “wine trail” after the sun goes down.

There, the holiday light displays are spectacular, and activities range from ice skating to lap sitting (on Santa, of course). Carolers also will be out and about, and numerous boutiques offer eclectic holiday shopping.
