Seventeen wineries in California’s Sonoma Valley are welcoming wine fans to a hands-on “Harvest Experience” Sept. 15-19.
Over the five-day period, the wineries will offer an array of harvest-related events, including:
* Grape sampling in the vineyards.
* Crush pad tours.
* Fermentation demonstrations.
* Winemaker lunches.
The big wind-up to the event will be the big Sonoma Harvest Tasting on Sept. 18-19. For $45, participants will receive a commemorative wine glass and access to tasting room activities at all of the participating wineries.
And that list is impressive, as it includes several estates which have had their wines featured by the wine clubs of Vinesse through the years.
Here’s the A-to-W lineup:
* Audelssa Estate Winery
* Benziger Family Winery
* Deerfield Ranch Winery
* Enkidu Wines
* Eric Ross Winery
* Imagery Estate Winery
* Kenwood Vineyards
* Kunde Family Estate
* Landmark Vineyards
* Ledson Winery & Vineyards
* Loxton Cellars
* Mayo Family Winery
* Muscardini Cellars and Ty Caton Vineyards
* Paradise Ridge Winery
* VJB Vineyards & Cellars
* Wellington Vineyards
Special harvest events at the various wineries require reservations and are extremely limited. Tickets for the weekend Sonoma Harvest Tasting may be obtained in advance. For further information, call 866-794-9463 or visit www.heartofsonomavalley.com
