Estate, a wonderful restaurant in downtown Sonoma, Calif., is changing the way people think about “happy hour.”
During the traditional “happy hour” timeframe – specifically, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and from 5 to 6:15 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays – Estate offers a special that’s tough to resist.
It’s called “Pizza and Pinot,” and for just $15, a diner receives a special wood-fired pizza, accompanied by a glass of Pinot Noir.
The list of wineries that have been featured to date reads like a Who’s Who of premium Pinot purveyors:
* Truchard
* Benziger
* Buena Vista
* Londer
* McPhail
* Inman Family
* Westwood
* Schug
* MacMurray Ranch
… and the list goes on.
Of course, specials come and specials go in the restaurant business, so be sure to call ahead to verify that this one is still being offered when you’re planning your visit to Sonoma County wine country.
