I know, I know. Some areas of the country are still getting snow showers. But they’re not nearly as big as they have been, and spring officially arrived yesterday.
So… let the grilling begin!
I just finished up work on the April edition of The Grapevine, the official publication of the wine clubs of Vinesse. And I’m in the grilling mood, because that entire edition is devoted to one of my favorite topics: barbecue.
Since BBQ is on my mind, I thought it would be fun to devote this week’s new posts to barbecue-related recipes… just to get you in the mood, too.
We’ll kick off this special series with sneak previews of the two barbecue recipes featured in The Grapevine – one for Salsa Steak, and the other for Lemon Barbecued Chicken.
Then on Thursday, we’ll share a barbecue-friendly salsa recipe, followed on Friday by a barbecue-friendly beans recipe – inspired by the great barbecues of California’s Santa Maria Valley.
We’ll wrap up the series on Saturday with a recipe for a very flavorful meat rub, featuring an array of Cajun spices.
I hope you enjoy the recipes, and I hope you’ll check out the April edition of The Grapevine. If you’re not motivated to fire up the grill by then, well, you probably don’t own a grill!
And that’s okay… as long as you continue to enjoy wine.
