When traversing the Silverado Trail–that’s the road less traveled that more or less parallels busy Highway 29 in the Napa Valley–one must-stop is ZD Wines, a maker of wonderful Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, among other varieties.
And this summer, ZD is providing two reasons to visit beyond just the wine-tasting experience.
Each Sunday through August 14, ZD is featuring a new tasting experience dubbed, “Cycle, Tour & Taste.”
For $125 per person–discounted $25 if you bring your own bike–guests can cycle around the country roads of Rutherford (soaking in beautiful vineyard views along the way), learn about ZD’s organic vineyards and then, as the winery puts it, “enjoy a seasonal culinary experience paired with current release wines.”
Bicycling is a popular pastime for visitors to the valley, so ZD has come up with a way for those on two wheels to get an up-close look at the grape-growing and winemaking crafts.
Then on Saturday, August 20, the deLeuze family will play host to a “Summer Wine Celebration,” with proceeds benefiting the Napa Boys & Girls Club Teen Center.
For $25 (or $30 at the door), guests will enjoy live music, a barbecue and other summer cuisine, and ZD wines (of course). The “Celebration” will begin at 12 noon and run until 4 p.m.
For more information on “Cycle, Tour & Taste” or the “Summer Wine Celebration,” visit ZD Wines online or call 800-487-7757.
Summer will be gone before you know it, so get out there and do some touring and tasting. We’ll share more wine country getaway ideas with you in the days and weeks ahead here on Vinesse TODAY.
