If you love good wine (and I know you do) and good food (and I presume you do), you should consider going bi-coastal when September morphs into October.
Two events that promise plenty of great wine, food and star-gazing are on tap, the first on the East Coast and the second on the West Coast.
Food Network is teaming up with Food & Wine magazine to present the New York City Wine & Food Festival from September 29 through October 2.
The organizers are promising a bounty of celebrity chefs, winemakers and culinary personalities. Already confirmed are Emeril Lagasse, Giada De Laurentis and Masaharu Morimoto.
Proceeds will benefit two organizations that are doing good work: Share Our Strength and Food Bank for New York City.

You’ll have 11 days to recover, and then it’s off to California for a new event called Los Angeles Food & Wine, presented by American Express Publishing.
L.A. Live will serve as the headquarters, and others involved include Coastal Luxury Managementand Dick Clark Productions. The dates: October 13-16.
The tagline for the event is, “Where celebrity meets celebrity chef,” and among the names being promoted are Wolfgang Puck, Daniel Boulud, Michael Mina and Sherry Yard.
All told, organizers are promising 100 celebrity chefs, 300 world-class wineries and live entertainment.
With so many special guests scheduled, you can bet that big crowds are expected for both events. That can sometimes translate into long lines, so be aware of that.
