Change is among the inevitable aspects of life, and in Paris, traditional cafés have gradually been disappearing from the cityscape.
Thankfully, a handful of worth-seeking-out wine bars remain, and Food and Wine magazine recently published a list of five of the best.

- Aux Deux Amis—Features “a natural-wine list with plenty of quirky bottles (like a sparkling rosé from the Loire’s Grolleau grape).”
- Coinstot Vino—“The 14.50-euro prix fixe lunch is an especially good deal.”
- Dans Les Landes—“Bracing country wines from small appellations in southwest France are the specialty” of this Basque café.
- Jeanne A—“A constantly spinning rotisserie turns out perfectly crispy chicken and duck.”
- Le Verre Volé—“Cyril Bordarier serves daily market specials like seared cod with baby artichokes…alongside his regular menu of charcuterie and sausages.”
