Music and Wine Join Forces at The Mountain Winery

More than 60 concerts will be held at The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Calif., this summer. The venue has become a favorite among Bay Area music lovers, and this year’s lineup ranges from the Indigo Girls to Glen Campbell, and from Emmylou Harris to Buddy Guy.

Rock. Folk. Blues. Country. Celtic. You name it, and The Mountain Winery probably will host it this summer.

The Mountain Winery holds a special place in the history of California wine, and you can read about that here. Now, there’s a Mountain Winery line of wines for concert-goers to enjoy. And during the summer months, the estate also hosts a number of wine-focused events.

Here’s a sampling…

  • Tunes & Tasting!—This coming Saturday from 12 noon until 7 p.m., The Mountain Winery’s new outdoor tasting room will be open, and guests will be able to enjoy the music of Hootenanny while they sample the estate’s wares. The regular tasting fees apply, and delicious cheese, antipasta and sushi selections will be available for purchase.
  • Sangria Sunday!—This Sunday from 12 noon until 5 p.m., guests can enjoy Sangria, tapas and live acoustic Latin music. There’s a $5 admission fee.
  • The Mountain Winery U: Exploring Pinot—A two-hour seminar focusing on Pinot Noir bottlings from the Santa Cruz Mountains. If you’ve ever wondered why varietal bottlings from the same area can taste so different, this event will address that topic and many others. The cost is $50.

Full details on all of the special events are available on The Mountain Winery’s website.
