Some of the best wines—particularly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir—being made in California.
Thirty-three wineries pouring their wares.
Tasty food.
Music.
A “big bottle” silent auction, featuring numerous one-of-a-kind items.
Seriously, how many reasons do you need to attend SLH Gala VII—a.k.a. the 7th annual Santa Lucia Highlands Gala—which is scheduled for Saturday, May 18 from 1 to 4 p.m.?
Okay, here’s one more: The Gala is being held at Mer Soleil Vineyard, an estate that normally is not open to the public.
Over the past six years, the Gala has become one of a handful of “must-do” events for wine lovers. Which makes sense, considering the wines come from a very special American Viticultural Area, which you can read about in thisarchived blog post.

- August West
- Belle Glos
- Bernardus
- Boekenoogen
