Today is Veterans Day — a day we honor America’s men and women who have served in the armed forces.
For many people, it’s the last day of a three-day weekend. For some, it’s perhaps the final day of the year when it’s not too cold for a backyard barbecue.
Whether you’re working today or taking it easy, I hope you’ll join me in giving thanks for all the men and women who have served our country through so many wars over the years — many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice so we could enjoy a three-day weekend or a backyard barbecue.
And if you happen to open a bottle of wine today, please raise a glass in honor of America’s veterans. Athletes and celebrities may be today’s role models, but our veterans are America’s heroes.
