The debate over the benefits of drinking moderate amounts of alcohol probably will never end.
Readers Digest recently reported on the results of a study that focused on women and their drinking habits.
According to the magazine’s report, women who consumed one alcoholic beverage most days of the week were 20 percent less likely to be hit with a chronic disease — afflictions such as diabetes or cancer — by age 70.
As always, moderation seems to be the key.
