Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we’ve no place to go
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
That’s one way to approach the dead of winter, which now is well entrenched in many parts of the country.
On the other hand, if you’ve already had enough snow to last an entire winter, a better approach may be to start planning a wine country getaway.
Certainly by the time Feb. 22 rolls around, millions of people across the country — particularly in the northern tier states — will be ready for a little warmth.
The Arizona Wine Growers will provide a tasty opportunity for just that on that Saturday, as they host the Off the Vine Arizona Wine Festival, a multi-hour event at historic Steam Pump Ranch in Oro Valley.
The ranch is home to a popular farmers market throughout the year, but on Feb. 22, Arizona wine will take center stage.

And if an Arizona getaway isn’t in the cards for you, my best suggestion for these cold winter nights is to pour a glass of your favorite wine. It may not warm your body, but it certainly will warm your soul.
