The January/February issue of Cook’s Illustrated has good news for anyone who spills red wine on their carpet — or someone else’s carpet.
Don’t shake your head; it happens to everyone, sooner or later.
The magazine tested three products formulated and promoted to remove red wine stains, using khakis, dish towels and a shag carpet.
Reported the magazine: “Only Wine Away Red Wine Stain Remover completely erased the stain from the carpet without help from water or another cleaner.”
Wine Away is a spray, and according to the company’s website, all one need do is spray the product on the stain and wait.
And prominently featured on the homepage is the Good Housekeeping seal of approval.
When it comes to wine spills, it pays to be prepared. Don’t ask me how I know this; just trust me.
