Are You Ready to Rock? Head to Napa

bottlerockEven though I’m now 57 years and four days of age, I am about to use the word “totally” in a much younger context.

BottleRock is a three-day music festival set for May 29-31 at the Napa Valley Expo in downtown Napa, Calif. Among its headliners are Robert Plant, Imagine Dragons, No Doubt, The Avett Brothers, Snoop Dog, Los Lobos, Brett Dennen, Passion Pit and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. I love music, and I can tell you it’s a well curated, exciting and eclectic lineup.

Yet even though BottleRock is mostly about the music (get ready for it!), I would totally go there just for the food and wine. Some of the North Coast’s top restaurants will be represented, and a number of local wineries will be providing a vinous smorgasbord of liquid delights.

First, the food purveyor lineup:

P.S.: If you prefer your music sans throngs of sweaty festival-goers flailing their arms in the air, Napa offers a classy alternative: the City Winery, housed in the historic Napa Valley Opera House. Music? Check. Food? Check. Wine? Check. You can check out its upcoming concert lineup here.
