It’s Music Week on Vinesse Today

Mixer console and wineThis is my birthday, which means I get to write about whatever I want this week. (Just don’t tell the boss!)

My four great loves in life are:

1-2. (tie) My wife and daughter. (You CAN tell them if you’d like.)

3-4. (tie) Wine and music.

When I can combine the two things that are tied for third and fourth place, life is truly great. Fortunately, a number of wineries offer extensive concert series during the summer months and beyond.

So, all this week, Vinesse Today will be devoted to wineries that feature music.

Today, we begin with The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Calif., which offers an expansive concert series each summer, complete with multiple pre-concert wining and dining options. This unique facility was profiled in a Vinesse Today blog last year: https://blog.vinesse.com/2015/08/24/music-on-the-mountain-a-sublime-experience-for-wine-lovers/

Tickets for the 2016 concert series went on sale yesterday with only about, oh, 30 shows I want to see. If only I lived closer to Saratoga and had unlimited funds. But you can bet I’ll be attending at least one concert there this season, along with a nice meal at the winery beforehand.

For a complete look at the 2016 schedule, go to: http://www.mountainwinery.com.

And check back here every day this week for more wine and music suggestions. For now, I’m going to pour a glass of wine and sing “Happy Birthday” to myself.
