A Smoke-Free Vegas Resort Where Wine Reigns?

There are reports swirling in Las Vegas that when the Park MGM reopens on the Strip, it will do so as a smoke-free resort.

If true, that would make Park MGM the only Strip property with a completely smokeless policy — which would be great news for wine lovers, especially when visiting the resort’s outpost of the marketplace known as Eataly.

For the uninitiated, Eataly has a handful of stores around the country, including a massive two-level store in downtown Chicago. If it’s Italian and you can eat it — from cheeses to meats to sauces to gelato — you’ll find it at Eataly. The Vegas store is more compact and spreads out over just a single floor, but it’s still big enough to feature several bars where lots of wines are served by the glass.

The prospect of being able to sip those wines with no chance of cigarette smoke from a nearby guest invading the wine’s aroma certainly is enticing.

For smokers, there still will be plenty of places to light up in Las Vegas, as we’ve heard of no other resorts considering a smoke-free policy at this time. But if you love wine (and we presume you do since you’re reading this blog), and you like to be able to savor its aroma, Park MGM could be your new headquarters when in Vegas.
